Thomas Mouzon Blocker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Mouzon Blocker, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this world on November 30, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in Walterboro, South Carolina to the Late Sherrill and Annie Claire Mouzon Blocker, Thomas's journey through life was marked by love, creativity, and a passion for capturing the beauty around him.
Thomas was a talented industrial photographer, dedicating his career to the architectural industry, where he worked for many years at Atlanta Blueprint. He approached each day with an artist's eye, finding joy in the subtle details of life and nature, reflecting his deep appreciation for the world around him
In 1960, Thomas met the love of his life, Nellie, on her first day in Atlanta, marking the beginning of a beautiful love story that lasted for over 63 years. Together, they shared an unbreakable bond filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. Thomas's legacy is carried on by his wife, Nellie, their son Timothy Blocker, his cherished grandchildren Arielle, Joshua, Clara, Rachel, Noah Blocker, and three great-grandchildren Ethan, Lydia, and Zoe who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He is also survived by his sisters, Diane (David) Reynolds and Sara (Harriet) Blocker.
Thomas was the third of six children, and his deep love for family extended to all corners of his life. Though he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Anthony Mouzon Blocker, Thomas's spirit will continue to live on through the memories he created with his loved ones, who will remember him fondly for his kindness, humor, and artistic brilliance.
A graveside service to honor Thomas's remarkable life will be held on December 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Peachtree Memorial Park. Family is invited to gather and celebrate a life well-lived, with stories, laughter, and the cherished memories that will keep Thomas close in our hearts.
