Gloria Ann Blocker

Gloria Ann Blocker, born on November 26, 1940, in Fayetteville, Georgia, peacefully passed away at her residence in Fayetteville on November 26, 2025, marking her 85th birthday.

Gloria dedicated her professional life to the Internal Revenue Service, where she served as an auditor for businesses. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her faith and family.

A faithful member of her local church throughout her life, Gloria shared her musical talents by playing the piano and organ during services. She also extended her compassion beyond the church, volunteering at Coweta County jail where she uplifted spirits with her piano playing. Her love for music was rivaled only by her love for the scriptures; she found great joy and solace in reading her Bible.

Gloria was a devoted wife to her husband, Thomas Blocker, with whom she shared 34 cherished years of marriage. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Melissa Spence (Bobby), Theron Walker, Kathy (Wayne Lynn) Blocker, and Ginger Bing. Gloria is also survived by her sisters Elaine Brania (Farouk) and Donna Waters, her cherished granddaughter, Katelyn Bing, and her nephews Keith Dyche (Amy) and Kevin Love (Carrie).

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Miriam and James Long, her sister Sue Ellen Long, and her nephew Brad Dyche (Shylo).
