Clemencia Thacker
November 3, 1939 - July 28, 2025
Clemencia Maria Thacker, affectionately known as Kaye and Clem, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, in Murrieta, California, at the age of 85. Born on November 3, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, Kaye lived a full and vibrant life marked by her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with those around her.

Kaye was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her loving daughters, Sharon (Fred) Potts and Louise (Randy) McCollum; her adored grandchildren, Kayla, Sarah, Chris, and Stephanie Potts, Andrew (Erika), and Ian McCollum; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Alejandra Sofia, Alexander Marcus McCollum, Zach Cabucos, and Augustus "Gus" Potts". Kaye was preceded in death by her siblings, Carlos and Alfred Munoz, with whom she now rests in peace.

A self-employed bookkeeper for an impressive 61 years, Kaye was the epitome of dedication and hard work. Her professional achievements were paralleled by her commitment to community service. As a 51-year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Order of the Amaranth, she dedicated herself to the values of compassion, truth, and charity.

Kaye's interests were as vast as her generosity. She had a passion for traveling the world, particularly enjoying the unique experiences that cruises offered. A patron of the arts, she found joy in attending the theater and had a special place in her heart for her church, Saint James Episcopal Church in Goshen, New York, where she was deeply involved.

Her compassion extended beyond her human connections to the animal kingdom and those who served our nation. She was an ardent supporter of animal shelters and veterans, always seeking ways to offer her assistance and love. An avid reader, Kaye also found solace in the pages of books, and her artistic soul was reflected in her love for painting.

Kaye's home was a haven for her beloved fur babies, who were as much a part of her family as her own children. Her loving and friendly nature made her a cherished friend and confidante to many. She lived her faith daily, embodying the grace and kindness that she believed in so strongly.

Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Kaye's life was a testament to the power of faith, the beauty of friendship, and the depth of familial love. She will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy will endure in the lives of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave throughout her remarkable journey.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather in remembrance on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9-10 am, with a Service in the funeral home at 10 am with Father Carl Lunden officiatng.
