Clementine Scrivens Maxwell, born on January 22, 1944, was a beloved resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She was the youngest child of the late Mr. Willie Holmes and Ella M. Scrivens. Clementine was preceded in death by her siblings, Maudie Wagner and Yvonne (Nanny) Sparks.
She graduated from New Stanton High School in 1962 and went on to earn certifications in Cosmetology and as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her career included dedicated service at MacClenny State Hospital, The Children's Home Society, and Atlanta Life.
Clementine was a devoted member of the Queen Esther Church Of God in Christ, where she served as a Missionary and Sunday school teacher, among other roles. Her faith journey began at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she gave her life to Christ at an early age.
She shared a loving partnership with Thomas Maxwell from 2001 until her passing. Clementine is survived by her three daughters, Michelle Brown-Barnum (Al), Debra Brown Johnson, and Kerri Brown, as well as her stepdaughters, Qunnakia Jones and Ketia Jones. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Carthage Chapel, 929 West Beaver Street, Jacksonville, Florida, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Queen Esther Church Of God, 1747 McQuade Street, Jacksonville, Florida.
