Lamar Royal Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carthage Chapel - Jacksonville on Feb. 25, 2026.
Lamar Antonio Royal was born on September 12, 1998, in Jacksonville, Florida, and entered eternal rest on February 14, 2026.

Lamar was a funny, friendly, and laid-back soul who brought laughter and light wherever he went. Born and raised in Jacksonville, he built lasting bonds with family, friends, and his community. He attended Duval County Public Schools and graduated from Englewood High School in 2018.

A hardworking man and devoted father, Lamar leaves behind three children and lovingly helped raise two bonus children, showing the true meaning of love, care, and responsibility.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Drue Willie Royal; great-grandmother, Dorothy Fears; grandfather, Lafayette Cox; and his father "LA".

He is survived by his loving children: Lamar Royal Jr., Demarcus White, De'Aubree White, Lamarious Royal, and Kingston Royal; his mother, Arlisa Royal; his brother, Lorman "Sunny" Royal; the mothers of his children, Ayanna and Tykaila; his aunts and uncles; cherished friends Edward, Pierre, Quiana, Travon, Jarvaris, and Keyawn; along with many extended relatives and loved ones who will forever carry his memory.

Lamar loved football and also played both travel league basketball and high school basketball. He had a competitive spirit on the field and court, but off the game he was the kind of person who could make anyone smile. His laughter, loyalty, and warmth will be remembered by all who knew him.

Though his life was too short, Lamar's legacy lives on in every laugh shared, every story told, and every memory cherished by his family and friends. He showed that life is about love, joy, and making moments count - and he did so in every way possible.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever Royal.
