Cleo Casey Obituary
Born in Loris, SC, Cleo is a daughter of the late William and Georgia Thompson. After many years of dedicated service, Cleo retired from GTE. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet, where she found great joy in serving in children's ministry. An avid quilter and cross-stitcher, she expressed her love through handmade creations. Cleo was the cherished family historian, known for her love of old family stories. She also had an extraordinary green thumb and never met a plant she couldn't grow. Cleo is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Casey, daughter, Brenda Ann Casey, siblings, Judy, Lary, Daniel, Mildred, and John.
Survivors include her sons, Craig Casey (Donna), Gary Casey (Brenda); Grandchildren, Bryan Casey (Samantha), Sam Casey (LeAnn), Emily Casey, Colleen Lellis (Greg), Patricia Duncan (Kellen); great grandchildren, Mason Casey, Logan Duncan; sister, Grace Carter Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM. Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is serving the family.
