Cleora Calton Evans, age 81, of Tooele Utah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. She was born on December 12, 1943, in Lehi Utah, to Harold and Beulah Calton.
Cleora's life was a beautiful blend of grit, kindness, and heart. She grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, rodeos, and the cowboy way of life. Her passion for all things western led her to become deeply involved with the Rush Valley Rodeo, where she poured her energy, time, and heart into the community she loved so dearly.
She was proud of her work as a Walmart associate, where she built lasting friendships and always greeted everyone with warmth and a smile. Cleora also found joy and strength in Women in the Outdoors, a group that celebrated her love for nature, adventure, and connection. Whether she was camping, cooking Dutch oven meals for her family and friends, or simply sitting under the open sky, Cleora felt most at home outside.
She was an expert seamstress and a talented crafter, creating beautiful things with her hands and always finding ways to share her gifts with others - often donating her work to charity. In her younger years, she loved playing softball and carried that team spirit throughout her life.
Cleora was a mother to many and a friend to all. Her care for others was limitless, and her presence made everyone feel seen, loved, and welcome.
Cleora is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Evans; her parents, Harold and Beulah Calton; her brother, Douglas Calton; her granddaughter, Caitlyn Evans; and her great-grandsons, AJ Stalliviere and Jayden Davis.
She is survived by her children: Scott Evans; Marvin and Kristy Evans; Duane Evans; Tracy and Gary Mascarenas; Barry and Christine Evans. She is also survived by her many grandchildren: Jessica, Rachael, Kristen, Jennifer, Jeremy, Melissa, Blake, Casey, Mindy, Lindsey, Riley, Brydger, Braydin, Eli, Aaron, Cory, Dylan, Cassidy, Camryn, Luke, and Robyn; as well as 24 great-grandchildren - all of whom were blessed to call her Grandma.
Cleora's legacy of love, generosity, and cowboy spirit will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
