Cletis Jones 81 of Frenchburg passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Saint Claire Medical Center in Morehead surrounded by his family. He was born April 22, 1944, in Ohio to Henry and Elizabeth Jones. He was a logger and a member of the Tarr Ridge Union Church in Menifee Co. He is survived by his wife Rosemary Jones of Frenchburg, three sons Mark Jones of Frenchburg, Lewis Jones ( Melissa Jill) of Denniston, Dale Jones (Susan) of Maysville, a daughter Sheila Helton of Denniston, Nine grandchildren Moses Jones, Philip Jones (Brooke), Elizabeth Jones, Luke Jones (Betty), Aaron Helton, Nathaniel Helton (Patience), Joshua Helton (Jessica), Emily Jones, Tristan Jones, Four great grandchildren Ean Jones, Amber Helton, Aliyah Helton, Hayden Sawyer Helton, a brother Darrell Jones (Eileen) of Denniston, two sisters Hazel Centers of Jeffersonville and Brenda Keaton of West Liberty. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sylvia Centers Jones, six brothers Donald, Jake, Allen, Larry Dean, Roy, Roger Jones and a sister Maxine Centers. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Tarr Ridge Union Church in Menifee Co. with Bro Allen Ratliff and Bro. Gary Mayabb officiating. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 11 AM till the time of the service. The burial will be in the Helton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Jones, Lewis Jones, Dale Jones, Philip Jones, Luke Jones, Moses Jones, Aaron Helton, Nathaniel Helton and Joshua Helton, Honorary pallbearers are Sherman Miller, Dennis Flannery and Tristian Jones. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of services.
