Cletus R. Gibson, age 72, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. Born March 17, 1953 in Louisville, he was the son of Cletus L. and Betty J. (Hack) Gibson.
Mr. Gibson was a union carpenter for Carpenters Union Local #64, of which he served as president. He enjoyed eating out, family gatherings, and his dog, Angel.
His surviving family includes his wife, the former Paula Bray; three sons: Daniel Gibson and his wife, Amber of Bedford, Chadwick Gibson of Corydon, Indiana, and Guy Thurman, Jr. and his wife, Janice of Madison, Indiana; four daughters and sons-in-law: Teena and Eric Drake of Milton, Kentucky, Hope and Will Sizemore and Michelle and Tracy Romans, all of Bedford, and Michelle and Ryan Willis of LaGrange, Kentucky; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Mike and Maryanne Gibson of LaGrange, and Alvin and Christina Gibson of Mountardier, Kentucky; one sister and brother-in-law, Effie and Randy Deshier of Grayson County, Kentucky; sixteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Glenual Gibson; and mother-in-law, Laverne Coats.
Graveside services and interment will be private at the Gibson Family Cemetery in Clarkson, Kentucky.
