Clifford Peter Eischeid, age 97, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Addington Place of Carroll. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Holy Angels of Roselle with Father Terry Roder as celebrant. There will be no visitation or viewing at the church on Thursday morning. Lector for the Mass will be Jeff Langenfeld and Nick Muhlbauer. Gift bearers will be Tonya Weber, Kelly Kroeger, and Holly Paulsen. Casket bearers will be Jeff Langenfeld, Craig Langenfeld, Brent Eischeid, Chad Eischeid, Danny Kroeger, Shawn Hoffmann, Nick Mulhbauer, Chris Eischeid and Justin Eischeid. Honorary casket bearers will be Tonya Kroeger, Tricia Niehaus, Kelly Kroeger, Holly Paulsen, and Jackie Isenberger. Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery in Roselle. A luncheon and fellowship with the family and friends will be held at the Halbur School following the burial. Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5-7 P.M. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. A Christian Wake Service be held held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home of Carroll. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com. Clifford was born on April 4, 1928 on his family's farm south of Roselle. He was the son of Albert and Francis (Truhe) Eischeid. He attended Holy Angels Catholic School in Roselle through the 8th grade. After school, he helped his father on the farm. On June 19, 1951, he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Reiff at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel. They were blessed with six children: Pat, Rick, Deb, Barb, Gail and Mark. Clifford continued to farm in the Roselle area. In his early years he also drove truck part time for Earl Wittrock and worked for the ASC office in Carroll. Cliff retired from farming in 1990 and rented his farms out. During retirement he worked for Renze Hybrids and was also the grounds keeper for Holy Angels Church for several years. In 2006, they made their home in Carroll. Norma passed away on May 27, 2023. Clifford was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. He loved to hunt, fish, and golf and continued to do so until his early 90's. Clifford and Norma were a part of many card clubs and enjoyed hosting card parties. Clifford is survived by his children: Pat (Glen) Langenfeld of Mesa, AZ, Rick (Becky) Eischeid of Gillette, WY, Barb Hoffmann of Auburn, IA, Gail (Dale) Muhlbauer of Pine Haven, WY, Mark (Katie) Eischeid of Gillette, WY; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; his sisters: Lenora (Vince) Gross of Carroll, Verena (Roman) Wittrock of Carroll, Janice Nepple of Denison, Alberta Meiners of Dedham, and Theresa (Dale) Schlichte of Carroll; brothers-in-law: Duane Bueltel of Carroll and Art Reiff of Mt. Carmel; a sister-in-law Karen Schouten of Carroll; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean; his parents; in-laws Louis and Florence Reiff; daughter Deb (Kevin) Kroeger; granddaughters, Beth Ann Kroeger and Mandy Reynolds; brother Marvin Eischeid; sisters: Delores Neese, Marian Bauer, Ruth Ann Brinks, and Velma Bueltel.
