Clifford Maples Obituary
Clifford Matthew "Matt" Maples, 65, of Nashville, TN, passed away unexpectedly, January 29, 2026, during winter storm Fern in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born in Columbus, Georgia, in 1960 to James Clifford Maples and Ramona "Mona" Carolyn Lane Maples, now Croteau. Matt graduated from the Paideia School in Atlanta, GA, in 1978, and attended one semester at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. In his later years, he worked for Ceva Logistics and Mygrant Glass in Nashville, Tennessee.
Matt never married or had children. He was preceded in death by his father, James Maples and is survived by his mother, Mona Croteau.
Matt's friends and family knew him to be quiet, sweet and kind-hearted with a little bit of a mischievous streak. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his extended family.
Matt was remembered and his ashes laid to rest at Christ Church Memorial Gardens, 15354 Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37211, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
