I met Cliff and his wife while serving in the Army with the 3rd Inf Div in Wurzburg, Germany. Him and his wife's friendship and generosity I will never forget. Prior to leaving there they took me on a trip to Garmisch, Germany. A magical place located in the south among the German and Austrian alps. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen and no longer was I so anxious to leave.
To make a long story short, I returned two years later, stated for 8 consecutive years, married, had two children, and visited Garmisch many more times. I don't think they'll ever know how much their friendship meant to me. I will deeply miss you my friend. Rest in peace. I love you brother.

Cliff a co-worker at the VA. A diabetic he knew my first wife suffered from diabetes. During our working time together he would frequently inquire about her condition. Anyone who suffers from diabetes understands the horrific complications which are part of the road down which the disease takes one. Cliff was a wonderful caring who individual who performed all aspects of his responsibilities in an outstanding manner. He served his country well, those who knew him were very fortunate. My sympathy to his heirs.

I worked with Cliff at the VA. He had a curious and sunny personality, and spread good cheer among us all. The world will be a sadder place without him in it.
