Clifford Allen Taylor

Clifford Allen Taylor Sr. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing Clifford Allen Taylor Sr. who passed away peacefully, in his sleep at home, on February 28, 2024. He was born to Clifford and Mary Taylor on January 23, 1940. He had one brother, Richard "Dick" Taylor. He spent most of of his childhood in Red Bluff and graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1958. He attended all his class reunions and so enjoyed keeping in touch with his classmates. He served as a radioman in the navy on the USS Hanson from 1958 to 1960. He worked for the U.S. Post Office from 1960 to 1995. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Syble Oliver, on November 24, 1962. They were married until her death in December of 2021. He missed her every single day. After retirement, he started a small business, Taylor Made Crafts, where he created wooden birdhouses and picture frames, but his biggest accomplishment, in retirement, was being the best grandpa ever to his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren and was tremendously involved in their upbringing and in all their activities. He was a member of the Tehama Shooters Association since it's inception serving as an officer for many years. He was an avid trap shooter and, many times, shot a perfect score! He was also active in the Nor Cal Jr. Clay Busters which allowed him to share his love of trap shooting with the youth. He is survived by his children: Lana (Timothy) Coenen and Clifford Allen Taylor Jr.. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Courtney (Mitch) Drury, Lacey (Kevin) Villa, Levi Taylor, and Caitlyn Taylor. Additionally, he is survived by his nieces Nanette Rodriguez and Debbie Hopper and his brother-in-law, Larry Oliver. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
