Clifford Walstad

Clifford “Corky” Walstad, 88, of rural Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Eventide on 8th in Moorhead.

Clifford was born September 3, 1935, in Moorhead, MN, to Clifford and Meda (Walker) Walstad. He grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School. Following high school, Clifford served in the Air National Guard. On February 2, 1955, he married Barbara Rosenfeldt in Sabin, MN. Together they made their home on Clifford’s family farm and raised their family.

Over the years, he took pride in his work and stayed busy farming, crop dusting and later owned and operated Comstock Trucking with partners Jimmy Livdahl, Victor Mord, and Clifford, Sr. While he loved his work, his passion was spending time at their lake home on Lake of the Woods. He and Barbara loved the lake, fishing and spending time with their family. He will be dearly missed.

Clifford is survived by son, Lee; daughters, Kari (Ron) Lammers and Melanie (Ty) Miller; grandchildren, Aaron, Melissa (Dave), Amy (Tony), Sam (Stef), Jay (Lynn) and Becky (AJ); great-grandchildren, Garrett, Zoe, Claire, Emma, Charlotte, Simon, Jack, Quinn, Alma, Mallory, and Kellen; brother, Doug; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; son, Kelly; and parents, Clifford and Meda.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, from 12 - 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will follow at Hoff Lutheran Cemetery, rural Moorhead, MN.
