Clifford Edward “Ed” Wasion, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL.
Ed was born July 12, 1943, to Delbert and Bonnie (Miller) Wasion in Waukegan, IL.
Ed was united in marriage to Karen Joy (Vest) Wasion, in Flora, IL on April 4th, 1962. They celebrated 63 years of marriage.
He retired from North American Lighting in Salem, IL. He was a member of Orchardville Church, and he enjoyed bass fishing, woodworking and was an excellent guitarist.
Ed was preceded in death by both parents, his mother and father in laws Doc and Gertrude Vest as well a sister, Nancy.
Ed is survived by his wife, Karen Wasion of Orchardville, IL; his children, Gloria (Leon) Allen of Cisne, Scott Wasion of Effingham, Denise (Mike) Johnson of Keenes, and Angie (Mitch) McMeen of Orchardville. Also surviving are his grandchildren Mallory, Lauren (Jonah Woomer) Allen, and Brock Allen, Amanda, Zac, Austin and Cole Wasion, Aaron (Lauren), and Cody Johnson, Brittany (Mitchell) Budds, Jordan (Robert) Corde, Taylor (Andy) Thomason; great grandchildren Brady, Leighton, Oliver, Mahlaya, Kai, Jake, Aubrey, Reagan, Bryar, Bentley, Marshall, Gabriella, Sophia, Anthony and Livia Joy, Dahlia, Leland, Ari and Bella; also surviving are five brothers , and one sister. His constant companion and little buddy, his dog TAG.
There will be no services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Autismspeaks.org or the Orchardville Church building fund.
