Clifton Leon Hooper, 78 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Clifton was born in Clarksdale. Mississippi on July 31, 1947, to Roosevelt and Linda Hooper.
Clifton was affectionately known as “Nookie”, by friends and family enjoyed life. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends. He had a love of making things with his hands. He liked music, especially Gospel. He also enjoyed playing basketball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Roosevelt Hooper Jr., Kenneth Hooper, Mark Hooper, Darryl Hooper, sisters; Ramona Hooper, Tynita Hooper, foster brother; William Potts
He leaves fond memories to his loving companion of 20 yrs., Dorothy Harris, children and grandchildren he loved as his own; Beatice Moore (Donald II), Ricky Harris Jr. (Larika), Antwan Coleman, sisters Bertha Hooper, Precious Hooper, Patricia Hooper, foster sisters. Linda Peyton and Shirley Moss, brother in love; George Berry (Lo), sisters in love; Virginia King (Donald), Linda Allen (Myron) Roberta Stewart, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends
