Clifton M. Simmons, 64, of Fort Worth passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. Clif was born August 27, 1957 in Weatherford, Texas to Harold W. and Glendora Rutledge Simmons. He worked in the hotel reservation systems industry for many years. During his early years in this industry, Clif traveled a lot, including some overseas travel. His favorite travel assignment was in Australia, where he spent a few months. Clif grew up in Springtown and formerly attended Springtown United Methodist Church. He lived in Wichita, Kansas for many years, and moved back to West Fort Worth nine years ago to be closer to family. Clif loved his dogs, especially Lindy, his faithful companion for the last eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Perry Duff Simmons. Clif is survived by his siblings, Lorene Clerihew, Linda Russell and husband Charlie and Harold Simmons, Jr. and wife Venice; aunt Gwendola Pennington; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to your local animal shelter. Graveside Service 10:00 am, Friday, December 31, 2021 at Veal Station Cemetery.
