Cline Ove Queen

Cline Ove Queen, 68, of Weston, WV passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Ove was born in Weston, WV on June 18, 1957 son of the late Julius "Coot" Queen and Irene Pearl "Teen" (Dolan) Queen. Ove was united in marriage on July 4, 2020 to his loving wife, Patty (Moore) Queen of Weston, who will miss him dearly.

Cherishing their memories of Ove are his wife, Patty, step daughters, Melissa Smith of Jane Lew, Felica Dominguez of Virginia, Lisa Poling of Michigan, Stacy Thompson of Barbour County, and Tracy Shank of Michigan, several step grandchildren, 4 brothers, Clavel "Junior" Queen and wife, Barbara of Weston, Clinton "Dub" Queen and wife, Karen of Weston, Coy Queen of Weston, and Claude Queen of Weston, several nieces and nephews, and a special friend and neighbor who was considered as a daughter, Amy Gibson.

In addition to his parents, Ove was preceded in death by 8 brothers, Clayton "Puffy" Queen, Carl "Tuffy" Queen, Chester "Ruffy" Queen, Cleo "Budgie" Queen, Cal "Dink" Queen, Cornell "Bonzo" Queen, Clifton "Pedro" Queen, and Chris Queen, 2 sisters, Clara "Patty" Hurst and Connie Queen, and his K-9 companion, "Lady".

Ove was a proud graduate of Lewis County High School and a man who never shied away from hard work. Early in life, he worked on the drilling rigs, where he built the strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his years. He later spent many dedicated years at Jerry's Salvage Yard in Horner, WV, running the magnet until his retirement in 2020. Ove was a valued member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Weston Lodge #1376, and truly enjoyed the camaraderie it brought. He found happiness in the simple things-fishing and hunting, tending his garden, riding his side-by-side, and especially spending time with friends. Whether it was a cookout, a good conversation, or just being together, Ove cherished those moments, and they are the memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston, WV, on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charlie Barrett officiating.
