Cherishing their memories of Sennett are his wife, Jackie, daughters, Melinda Newsome and husband, Shane of Jane Lew, WV and Joyce Nelson of Horner, WV, son, Arnold Gilman of Logan County, WV, grandchildren, Dixie, Cindy "Lou Lou", Anthony, Matthew, Carlos, Rachel, Koldie, and Patricia, 5 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Mark Whitt, Steve Whitt, and Denville Nelson all of Logan County, WV, sister, Dora Whitt of Logan County, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Sennett was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Carlos Whitt.
Sennett was a hardworking man who retired after many years in carpentry, known as a true jack of all trades who could build or fix just about anything. An outdoorsman at heart, he found peace in fishing and hunting and took great pride in tending his garden and caring for his chickens. He appreciated a simple, honest life, rooted in hard work and time spent outdoors, and he will be remembered for his skills, self-reliance, and love of the land.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow services at Rock Grove Cemetery in Alum Bridge, WV. Online condolences and life stories in memory of Sennett may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.
