Clint Carter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Buchanan Funeral Service on Dec. 13, 2025.
Clint Corey Carter Jr.

"CJ"

July 5th, 1996 – December 10th, 2025

"What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose.

For all that we love becomes a part of us."

When I must leave you for a little while,

please do not grieve and shed, wild tears,

and hug your sorrows through the years.

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

and for my sake, and in my name, live on

and do all things the same.

Feed not your loneliness on empty days,

but fill each working hour in useful ways.

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer,

and I, in turn, will comfort you and hold you near.

And never, never be afraid to die,

for I am waiting in the sky.

Clint Corey Carter, lovingly known as CJ, was born on July 5, 1996, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Clint and Chana Carter. CJ graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 2014 and worked as an electrician. CJ was a son, a brother, and a father in his own way-roles he carried with love and meaning. CJ is survived by his siblings: his oldest brother, Corey Daniel; his older sister, Ciara Nichole; and his two younger sisters, Cadance Destiny and Carrisa Denise, His mother and Father, Chana Martin and Clint Carter.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Cheryl and Jeff McComas and Jack and Minnie Carter; his aunt and uncles, Chris and Nikki Kennedy, Tommy Carter, Preston Carter, Stephen Ellis and his cousins, Katelyn and Devin Graves, Jeremy and Curtis Schwab Jaxon and Charlie Kay Kennedy and Jaxton Carter

He also leaves behind his loyal companion and best friend, Kona.

CJ was preceded in death by his little brother, Caleb David, whom he loved and cared for as his own; his uncle-aka Superman-David Allen; and Bryan Ellis and many of his close friends.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted

and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Psalm 34:18

"Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened,

and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28
