Obituary of Clinton R. Burns
Mr. Clinton R. Burns, 78, formerly of Brower Road, Palatine Bridge, NY rode into the sunset on February 3, 2025.
Clint was born in Long Island, NY on May 10, 1946, the son of Joseph M. Burns and Doris Terry Burns.
He was educated in Long Island and Canajoharie, NY.
For most of his life, he was a dairy farmer, and for 27 years he worked at Valley View Farm, Palatine Bridge, NY; where he helped make the farm an example of legitimate sustainable agriculture. Clint had lived in Palatine Bridge since 1961 when his family moved to the area from Long Island.
He was of catholic faith and was a member of the former St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, Canajoharie.
He was a lifelong saddle and draft horse enthusiast. this included when his father and he were participants in the recreation of the wagon trail of Clinton Sullivan, from Canajoharie, NY to Otsego Lake.
He was predeceased by his brother Robert Burns.
Survivors include his sister, Theresa Ackley; 2 brothers Terry Burns, and Joseph Burns; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 6th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Hope, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
There will be a visitation before the mass at the funeral home, Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317, from 11:30 to 12:30. A Procession will take place following the visitation to the church.
