In Loving Memory of Keith Roger Stowell Keith Stowell, 86, of Fort Plain, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on July 26, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on August 2, 1938, in Ames, New York, to Howard and Mable Shunk Stowell. He graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1957. He worked at Beechnut and Miller Brewing Company over the years and was known for his integrity and dedication. Keith found great joy in golfing, hunting, motorcycling, gardening, and cheering on the Yankees and Green Bay Packers. He was a member of the Canajoharie Reformed Church. Keith was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He married the love of his life, Barbara (Wilson) Stowell, in 1958. Keith and Barbara loved to travel, go out to dinner, and take their chances at the casino. Together, they raised 3 children. Victoria, Brenda, and Keith Jr.. He was survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara; his children Victoria Snell (Scott), Brenda Stowell, and Keith Stowell Jr.; his six grandchildren: Derek, Amber, Tyler, Kaden, Brett, and Sophia; and three great-grandchildren: Maddison, Kip, and Gunnar. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Shilrey Whitbeck (Lloyd), Beatrice Gould, Clifford Stowell (Barbara), and Wayne Stowell. A memorial service to honor Keith's life will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Houghtailing and Hanley Funeral Home located at 20 Otsego Street in Canajoharie, NY, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a service at noon, to be followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery located at 296 Martin Rd., Fonda, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Canajoharie Reformed Church. Keith will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, patience, and understanding, as well as his unwavering love for his family.
