Mrs. Helen Louise Krutz, 91, passed away at St. Johnsville Nursing Home on July 8, 2025.
She was born on December 31, 1933, in Middlefield, NY, the daughter of Albert Lalik and Mary Kamior Lalik.
Helen was a graduate of Canajoharie High School.
Most recently, Helen had worked as a bus driver for Canajoharie Schools. Before that, she worked as a waitress for several area restaurants.
Helen lived locally for most of her life, except for the years she spent in Michigan, from 1956 to 1968.
Helen was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope.
In her younger years, she was an avid golfer, bowler, and enjoyed gardening.
On July 4, 1953, she married John Krutz, Jr.; he predeceased her in death on July 7, 2022.
All her siblings also predeceased her.
She is survived by her children, Larry and Brenda Krutz, Terry Krutz and Carolyn Norquist, Ronald and Susan Krutz, Janice and Tony Lopez, Jeffrey Krutz; 6 grandchildren, Daniel and Arlo Krutz, Casey and Mary Krutz, Tyler and Andrew Lopez; 3 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Bentley, and EdnaMaye Krutz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 11th, 2025, at noon at Our Lady of Hope, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 10:00-11:30 at Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
Burial will take place at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery following the mass.
