Clinton Ray Herring, affectionately known as Clint, was born on December 20, 1963, in Memphis, TN. He passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, in Horn Lake, MS, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Clint was a talented graphic designer who worked for CCL Label, previously known as Screen Graphics Incorporated. In addition to his career, he was the proud owner of Herring Auto. His professional life was marked by his exceptional skills and strong work ethic, traits that endeared him to many.

Outside of work, Clint was a person who possessed a big personality, possessing brilliant knowledge and opinions on a variety of subjects and the ability to connect with anyone he met. His natural charm and outgoing demeanor allowed him to form friendships easily, and he was often regarded as a role model and mentor by those around him. As a devout Christian, he shared the Gospel in a loving and caring manner, guiding others with his faith and compassion.

Clint's personal life was equally fulfilling. He was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife of 30 years, Heather (Ficklin) Herring. Together, they created a nurturing environment for their family. Clint was a devoted father to his three sons: Micah Herring (wife Becky), Daniel Herring, and Nathaniel McAfee. His pride in his children was evident, as he dedicated his life to ensuring they had better opportunities than he did. He was especially proud of his grandsons and cherished the moments spent with his granddaughter, whom he adored.

The memories of Clint will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew him. Heather recalls how from the very first moment they met, his smile and kind eyes instilled a sense of safety and trust within her. Nathaniel experienced a special bond with his father from the start. Clint was always there for his children, ready to protect and care for them. From road trips filled with original songs to shared moments of deep conversation, Clint's influence was profound.

In addition to his family, Clint's interests included working on cars, a passion that reflected his love for mechanics and creativity. He was also eager to learn how to play the guitar, showcasing his thirst for knowledge and self-improvement.

Clint is survived by his loving mother, Linda Herring; his brothers, Duane Herring, Paul Herring, and Jeremy Herring (wife Jennifer); his cherished sons and their families; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Linton Herring.

As we remember Clint, let us celebrate a life marked by caring relationships, an unwavering commitment to family, and a compassionate spirit that touched the lives of many. His legacy will live on through the lives he enriched and the love he shared.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. - Philippians 4:8-9
