Clinton Joel McCutchen, 81, of Collinsville, Oklahoma passed from this life on September 26, 2025. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 3 at 4pm at the Collinsville church of Christ.

Clinton was born to Christopher and Lavera McCutchen on August 26, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was raised in Midwest City with three brothers, Johnny, Jerry and David. In high school, he developed a strong aptitude for auto mechanics. This desire turned into a passion for building and racing cars. At age 18, he lost his leg in an oil well accident. His occupational therapist recommended he find a career in which he would not have to be on his feet for long periods of time. With that in mind, he decided to pursue Design Drafting at OSU Tech in Okmulgee, OK. Over his lifetime, he went from being a “pencil and board” draftsman to doing “mouse and monitor” drafting and 3D modeling. However, his zeal for auto mechanics never subsided. You could always find him working under the hood of a car. Whenever his children had car trouble, they all knew he was the one to call for help.

In 1964, Clinton married Jane Chapman, the mother of his four children, Troy, Travis, Angie, and Trent. They raised their children in Del City, Oklahoma. During that time, they attended the Eastside church of Christ in Midwest City where Clinton had grown up going to church. Throughout his children' s lives, Clinton never missed an opportunity to have his kids at church, even when he became single. He loved Jesus with all his heart and helped instill a deep love for the Lord in all his children.

In the early 1980s, Clinton started his own business, Clintco. It was a fabrication company that mostly made electrical oil rig enclosures. After several years, he sold the company to a furniture manufacturer and worked for them. Later, he worked for US Filter/Blastrac as a draftsman.

In 1988, he married Barbara Annis, whom he met at church. Barbara, along with her children, Jennifer and David, joined the McCutchen family as they became a modern-day Brady Bunch. Clint and Barbara lived in several Oklahoma cities before settling in Collinsville where they joined the Collinsville Church of Christ in 2015.

Clinton is preceded in death by his parents and brothers. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his six children: Troy McCutchen and wife Pam, Travis McCutchen and wife Jennifer, Angie McCutchen, Trent McCutchen, Jennifer Nixon and husband Larry, David Annis and wife Iliyana, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way.
