It is with great sadness that we announce that William (Bill) McCutchen passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 4, 2025, at the age of 79 in Johnstown, Colorado. He was born in California on May 15, 1946, to Charles and Audrey McCutchen. He was a beloved husband to Liz McCutchen, and a devoted father to his daughter Kristina Jones and three sons, Todd Christensen (wife: Gina) James McCutchen (wife: Amanda) and Sean McCutchen.

Bill was known for his "Wild Bill" stories and no-nonsense attitude. After graduating from San Diego State College, he worked as an engineer. He quit his job as an engineer and drove around the US and Canada going to as many meetings he could find while writing a book about his adventures. He then went back to school to become a High School teacher in Mathematics and Chemistry. He retired from teaching in 2012 and then moved to Colorado to enjoy the rest of his life near the Rocky Mountains. Bill loved camping in the mountains, bird watching and had a passion for all animals and nature.

He is survived by his wife Liz and his children, Kristina, Todd, James and Sean. His grandchildren, Riley, Camden and Sutton Christiansen and a large loving extended family.
