Clinton "Curtis" Morrison

Clinton Curtis Morrison, age 68, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on May 2, 2023, at Cox Medical Center South. He was born to Clinton Ray Morrison and Dorothy Carole McCroskey on August 10, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri. Most know him as Curtis, as he preferred to go by his middle name. He was united in marriage to Barbara Coberly on November 4, 1978.
Curtis was employed as a cashier with Wal-Mart. Over the course of his career, he held several jobs including Strout Realty, where he met his wife, and ABC Pictures as a typesetter. When not working, he had many interests including cycling, hiking, photography, collecting Hot Wheels, listening to music, and home theater and stereo equipment. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing his favorite musicians perform live. He often shared stories about the numerous concerts he had been to. He is described by others as intelligent, caring, and committed to the people he loved. He was also quite endearing and was immensely popular at work with his customers. Curtis's legacy lives on in his children, who inherited his love of music, his hardworking mentality, and his commitment to family. He is loved for everything he was, but is remembered most fondly as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly.
Curtis was preceded in death by his spouse, Barbara Morrison; father, Clinton Ray Morrison; mother, Dorothy McCroskey; and brother, James Morrison. He is survived by his three children, Nicolette Glancy and husband James, Kristen Morrison and wife Abigail, and Ryan Morrison and fiancée Nicole Librach; one grandson, Garrett Glancy; his seven siblings, and a large extended family.
A celebration of Curtis's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South
