Clinton "Clint" Walton, 91, of
Piedmont, MO, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born in
Ellsinore, MO, November 12, 1934, to Thomas and Elsie (Stoker) Walton.
Clint was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He married the love of his life, Clara Sullivan, on October 22, 1988, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and many lasting memories.
Clint attended a one-room schoolhouse in Ellsinore and grew up around sawmill work, experiences that shaped his strong work ethic and appreciation for hard, honest labor. In 1963, he purchased a farm on Carver Creek, a place that reflected his deep love for the land and the outdoors. After leaving Ellsinore, he worked in the mines for several years before returning to McDonnell Douglas, where he dedicated thirty years of service as a machinist before retiring.
Clint truly enjoyed country life. He loved working the land, hunting rabbit was his favorite, he also enjoyed crappie fishing, a pastime he cherished deeply especially at their home in Mississippi. He also treasured gathering with family and friends, sitting around reminiscing about the "good ole days," stories that always came with warmth and wisdom.
A man of strong faith, Clint was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending services at Shiloh General Baptist Church in Shook, MO, where he was a member. He was known as a strong, loving man who placed family above all else. His greatest legacy is the family he loved so dearly and the time he spent with them.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children: Clinton Leeroy Walton Jr., Randy Walton, and Theresa Moyer; brother: Albert Walton; sisters: Joann English, Brenda Kellogg, Louise Tinker, Waltie Goodson, and Lorene Tinker.
Clint is survived by his devoted wife Clara of thirty-seven years; children: Wade Walton and wife Jane of Herculaneum, Mike Walton and wife Nikki of Clay Township, Michigan, and Crystal Walton of Annapolis; stepchildren: Terry Davis and wife Kim of Piedmont, Gene Davis of Greenville, and Scott Davis of Des Arc; nineteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother: Melvin Walton and wife Sandy of Poplar Bluff; and sister: Wanda Joyce of Granite City, Illinois.
Clint will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his strength, love, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
