Clyde Edward Greene

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clyde Edward Greene on February 24th, 2025, at the age of 73. Clyde "Butch" was born on November 11th, 1951, in Kenton, Ohio to Joseph and Bertha Green.
Butch served 14 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he met the love of his life Noriko and had two beautiful children, Peter and Michael. Many have known him to drop everything and help someone in need. He was one of a kind and will be remembered for being selfless and caring. From his advice and acts of service, one could find knowledge, strength, and compassion. To know him is to love him, while our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain. He was surrounded by loved ones during his peaceful passing, and he would want everyone to stay strong and remember all the years of laughter and good times.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Noriko Greene; Sons Peter Greene, and Michael Greene; Sister Bonnie Gentry; Grandchildren Kalani Tooman, Kenji Greene, Michael Jr. Greene, and Abel Greene.
Those wishing to honor Butch's memory may contribute to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name.
The viewing for family and close friends will be on Thursday March 6th, 2025, from 6-8 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
