Clyde Haynes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. - Dallastown on Jan. 21, 2026.
Clyde R. Haynes, 85, of Windsor Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Sylvia S. (Edmondson) Haynes, with whom he shared many cherished years of marriage.

Born on June 22, 1940, in Widemouth, West Virginia, Clyde was the son of the late Quince Odell Haynes and Nannie Mae (Abshire) Haynes.

Clyde proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked at National Wire where he retired after many years of service as a supervisor.

A simple man who found joy in life's everyday pleasures, Clyde enjoyed NASCAR, his favorite driver being the legend, Dale Earnhardt. He was also a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. Clyde was a dedicated supporter of President Donald Trump and held firm convictions that he spoke about openly and proudly. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and cherished those moments deeply. He will be remembered for his steady presence, straightforward nature, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

Clyde is survived by his daughter, Sandra Webster and her husband, Junior; son, Michael Haynes and his wife, Michelle; and son, Ernest Lee Keene, six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Hill; many nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved four-legged companion, Hopper. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Rodney Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
