Clyde Stanley Housel

Clyde Stanley Housel, 91 of Pelion, South Carolina passed away peacefully March 6, 2026. Born October 14, 1934, in Hollywood, CA to Novella Weatherford and Stanton Housel. Clyde spent his life working and raising his children with his beautiful wife Geraldine Housel. Clyde loved to do yard work, read Westerns from his favorite author Louis L'amour, show off his famous left jab and had a love for chocolate. Clyde lived with his son Monte Housel and Daughter-in-law Christy Housel for the last few years of his life and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren daily.

Clyde is survived by his son Monte Housel and his wife Christy Housel of Pelion, SC; their children Cassie Kopta of AZ, Eldon Scriven of NY, Kaydence Ryan of SC, Trinity Williams of SC, Azaleah Housel of SC, Izaiah Housel of SC, Jonella Housel of SC, Skyler Sherman of SC, Arianna Housel of SC and Romance Housel of SC; his son Steven Housel of ND, his children Nicholas Housel of ND, Brittany Choleva of ND and Emily Housel of TX; His daughter Cynthia Powell of AZ and her children Bryan Powell of CA and Leanna Powell of AZ. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Geraldine Housel, his granddaughter Jenifer (Housel) Mitchell, his parents, siblings and many loved family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Clyde's home on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 2 pm. Family and friends may join us to rejoice in Clyde's life and memories. The family will be planting a Cherry tree at the ceremony in his honor to start Clyde's Orchard for many to enjoy for years to come.

The family requests any donations, flowers or memorial contributions to be sent to Christy Housel in the form of items or plants to be used and added to Clyde's Orchard.
