Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 21, 2026.
Clyde Wilson Miller Sr., 89, of Deltaville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family. Born in Hindman, Kentucky, Clyde lived a life defined by quiet strength and a generous heart. He was a devoted husband for 68 years to his beloved wife, Hazel Miller, and a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved. Clyde was the father of four children: Kenny, Kathy, Clyde Jr., and Tammy. He was a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. Known for his kind, caring, and sweet nature, Clyde had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Clyde served in the Army and national guard as well as retired from NASA. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing, hobbies that reflected his patience, craftsmanship, and appreciation for simple pleasures. Whether creating something with his hands or spending a quiet day on the water, Clyde found peace in these moments and often shared them with family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Henrietta Davidson; his son, Clyde Wilson Miller Jr.; and his grandsons, Nicholas and Ryan. Clyde is survived by his devoted wife, Hazel Miller; his son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Barbara Miller; his daughters, Kathy and Tammy; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Clyde Wilson Miller Sr. will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering love for his family, and the countless lives he touched simply by being himself. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Services are private and under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
