Clyde Charles Robbins was born on August 16, 1951, in Golden City, Missouri to Harold and Lualla (Faulk) Robbins. He grew up in Pierson, Iowa, graduating from Correctionville High School. Clyde went on to work as an over the road truck driver. He also worked construction and for John Deere. Clyde was blessed with four children, Nathan, Jarrod, Lynette and Desirea. He shared many years with his long time partner, Audrey “AJ” Brewster.

Clyde found joy in simple pleasures, whether it be chatting with friends or dedicating hours to his hobbies. His hands were never idle. Clyde was greatly passionate about refurbishing tractors and trailers, showcasing his remarkable skill and dedication to craftsmanship. An avid scrapper, he had a keen eye for finding value in hidden treasures. Additionally, Clyde enjoyed the labor of splitting wood, a task that was both a source of strength and a point of pride for him, as he always felt connected to the earth and the resources it provided.

Clyde died on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Modale, Iowa at the age of 74 years, five months and 27 days.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jarrod Robbins. He is survived by Audrey “AJ” Brewster of Modale; children, Nathan Robbins, Lynette Robbins and Desirea Robbins; grandson, Bennit-John Grabow; sister, Rita Christoffersen; and many other relatives and friends.
