Clyde Desley Staggs, Sr., 76, of Tiptonville, Tennessee died on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Monday, June 27, 1949, in Mississippi, he was the son of the late Eunice and IdaMae Staggs.

Clyde faithfully served as a minister for Okeena General Assembly, where he dedicated his life to preaching the Word of God and leading others to the Lord. His passion for sharing the gospel and guiding people in their faith was the cornerstone of his life and ministry.

Outside of the pulpit, Clyde had a deep love for music. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and especially listening to gospel music, which brought him great joy and peace. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing the special moments and memories they shared together.

In quieter times, he enjoyed watching western movies, a pastime that reflected his appreciation for simple pleasures and stories of faith, honor, and strength.

Graveside services for Mr. Staggs will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 27,2025, at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Robert Mann. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Clyde Staggs, Jr. of Tiptonville, Tennessee; one daughter, Melissa Staggs (Mike Butler) of Tiptonville, Tennessee and one sister, Eilene Staggs of Hornbeak, Tennessee and he was "PawPaw" to his three grandchildren, Barbie Callens (Jared), Luana Lee and Dallas Marsh and three great grandchildren, Reece, Miller and Sopheria.
