Clyde Eugene Vickers, 80, of Bear Creek, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
Clyde was born on May 23rd, 1945, in Davie County, to the late William Clyde and Annie Mae Smith Vickers. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donnie; and his sister, Diane.
Clyde enjoyed driving race cars on the dirt track. He drove all over the country for Old Dominion to provide for his family. He had a very strong work ethic, and he loved to sing in the car with his granddaughters. Left to cherish Clyde’s memory is his wife of 56 years, Ann Parrish Vickers of the home; his children, Scott Vickers, Melinda Vickers, and Jason Vickers; his brother, Jackie Vickers and his wife, Barbara of Texas; his grandchildren, Holly Moore, Edie Moore, Jordan Gladney, Hunter Fitzgerald, Joshua Vickers, Savannah Vickers, and Christian Lackey; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Mason, Kinsley, and Ariel; several nieces and nephews; and his gathered children, Jamie Hucklebee and Mitch Headen.
Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Vickers family.
