Clyde D. Wilson

Clyde Dwight Wilson, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on February 20, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Clyde was born on July 30, 1936, in Fresno, California, the son of Frank and Rebecca Wilson. From 1953-1957, he served his country in the United States Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Clyde married Nancy Choate on September 20, 1958, in Bell Gardens, California. They started a family, having two children, Rick and Sandy. In 1979, they moved from Downey, California to Lebanon, Oregon.

Clyde was a machinist by trade and took great pride in his work; there was virtually no job he couldn't do. Upon moving to Oregon, he also began farming. His 65 acres of hazelnuts were his pride and joy.

Clyde enjoyed hunting, specifically bird hunting with his dog Jaycee, and fishing. He also greatly valued his family and enjoyed spending his time with them.

Clyde is survived by his wife Nancy Wilson, son Rick Wilson of Madras, Oregon, Sandy (Wilson) Zehner of Lebanon, Oregon, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Rebecca Wilson of Bell Gardens, California, brother Raymond Wilson of Fresno, California, brother Victor Wilson of Boise, Idaho, sister Barbara Grand-Colas of Pico Rivera, California, and sister Vivian Peters of Boise, Idaho.

A viewing will be held from 4:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Huston-Jost Funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Lebanon First Assembly of God Church in Lebanon, Oregon. Lunch reception to follow at The Zehner Residence. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
