“Coach” Carlos L. Fenn
Carlos L. Fenn, 72, died December 19, 2024 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Coach Fenn was born on August 22, 1952 to Havert & Lola Fenn in Camp Pickett, Virginia. He moved to St. Lucie County in 1965.
He was a beloved P.E. teacher at Fairlawn Elementary for 37 years, affectionately known as “Coach Fenn”. He was well known throughout the community and remains an inspiration to the many lives that he taught throughout his career. He was a huge sports fan, an assistant basketball coach, and a top Florida sports official. He graduated from Florida Technological University (currently UCF) and was a life-member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Survivors include his son, Duane Fenn of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Ebony Fenn of Fort Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Kade Fenn of Fort Pierce, FL; Bailey Fenn of Port St. Lucie, FL; Haven Brown of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Morgan Fenn and James Fenn both of Fort Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Havert L. & Lola D. Fenn and wife, Helen Fenn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the U.C.F. Athletics Department.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
