Cody Sarah Mae/Mari Lyn Callier Owens

Cody "Sarah Mae" Owens or Mari Lyn Callier, 19 years old of Nevada, TX passed away on October 6, 2021. Cody was born on May 15, 2002 in Dallas, TX. He was a very curious, smart, strong willed and rambunctious child. At the early age, we knew he was very intelligent and computer savvy! He created video games, and enjoyed anything to do with electronics. Around the age of 10 he fell in love with art and music. He played multiple instruments and composed his own songs. Sarah came to us around the age of 15/16 a successful, aspiring musician. For many years published and sold her music while also creating and selling art. Sarah graduated from Community High School in 2020. She has since impacted so many lives as Sarah, and lastly Mari Lyn Callier. She had so much compassion for her friends, and the causes she strongly believed in. Mari was a huge advocate for anything LGBTQ, and yes in her young age, politics. This beautiful soul will be missed by so many. She leaves behind her mother, Misty (Randy) Hooker, Nevada, TX; Father, Steve (Tracie Mackey)Owens, Lone Oak, TX; Sister, Deborah Fitzgerald, Clifton Park, NY; Step-brother, Dalton Hooker, Nevada, TX; Grandparents, Kirk (Charisse) Fitzgerald, Brownwood, TX; Debra (Joe) Testa, Garland, TX; Gloria Owens, Richardson, TX; Rex Owens, Calvert, TX; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
