Cody Repine Obituary

Cody Lee Repine, born in New Albany, Indiana on August 29, 1993. He passed away unexpectedly at home January 23, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Faulkenburg. Cody is survived by his mother, Jill Sharp; his father, Roger Repine (Lisa); as well as his sisters, Audrey Faulkenburg, and Kit Fortier (Grayson); grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who are devastated by his loss. Cody also leaves behind his beloved dog, Luce, as well as several "fur" nieces and nephews he dearly loved.

Cody served as a ministerial servant in the Central French Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Louisville, Kentucky for five years. He was an avid learner and French was one of six foreign languages that he was either fluent in or had a working knowledge of. The other languages included German, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, and most recently, Italian.

He was also a Certified Specialist of Wine, a gifted crafter of cocktails, and an aficionado of fine spirits, along with being an incredible behind the scenes cook. Cody had a great love for music, and he was always sharing, with friends and family, some new or old artist that he had discovered.

Very few people knew that he himself had a very moving, rich singing voice and a varied repertoire. He loved to sing anything from Italian Aria Antica (ancient aria), to Spanish love songs, to sea shanties. Cody even composed some of his own music.

In short, to his family and friends, he was the most interesting man in the world. Most importantly, Cody was the strongest and best man that the women in his family ever knew. He was their rock.

If you would like to honor Cody's memory, be fearless. Enjoy the simple and finer things in life. Fiercely love your family and friends. Be spontaneous. Take care of your health. Make sacrifices for other human beings. When you love someone, don't just tell them, show them. And, whenever possible, be stylish.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a celebration of Cody's life commencing at 6:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest privately at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
