Cody Schwalbauch Obituary

Laurelville, Ohio Cody Ryne Schwalbauch, 39, of Laurelville, passed away on September 16, 2025. Cody was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on December 19, 1985, and was a graduate of Logan Elm High School where he participated in wrestling, football, and baseball throughout the years.

Cody was known for his fierce loyalty, protective nature, and his snarky comebacks. He was also a helping soul, always ready to do anything he could for those around him.

Cody was preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Martha McNeal, and Roy and Cathern Schwalbauch, uncle Rocky Schwalbauch, and best friend Justin Speakman. He is survived by his beloved daughter Devyn McNichols, parents Dianna Rauschendorfer and Rick (Karen) Schwalbauch, stepmother Susan Schwalbauch, wife Laurel Carroll, stepson Xavier, siblings Aaron (Kayla) Shwalbauch, special nephew Rocky Schwalbauch, Libby (Forrest) Baldwin, grandparents Herb and Pat Speakman, stepdaughter Skyla Kneece, beloved feline companion ZeeZues, and an army of friends and adopted family members who loved him.

We will mourn the loss and celebrate Cody's life. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
