Cody Michael Valence

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cody Michael Valence, a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Cody was taken from us far too soon on April 3, 2025, at the age of 20, in New Orleans, LA.
Born on December 9, 2004, in New Orleans, LA, Cody was a lifelong Louisiana native and a resident of Harahan, LA, where he lived with his mother. He was a kind-hearted and caring young man known for his deep love for his family and friends. Cody shared a special bond with his cousins, who admired and looked up to him.
Cody had a passion for sporting events and fishing, hobbies that brought him great joy and many cherished memories with loved ones. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juan Valence, Sr., and Anne Ciaccio Valence.
Cody leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Sarah Seton Ferrara; father, Juan Michael Valence; maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Cynthia Ferrara; and his loving godparents, Nicole F. Van Geffen and Chip Waguespack, cousins, and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him in their hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, on Friday, April 11, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
