With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Baby Cohen Alan Jackson, 23 weeks gestation, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at VCU Hospital. Although his time with us was brief, the love and joy we anticipated welcoming him into our arms will stay with us forever.
From the moment we knew we were expecting, our hearts were full of excitement, hope, and dreams for the future. Our home was filled with preparations as we eagerly awaited the day we would hold him close, wrapping him in love. Though Baby Cohen never had the chance to breathe in the world outside, we will forever carry him with us in spirit, cherishing the love he brought into our lives.
Baby Cohen is deeply mourned by his loving parents, Cami and Cam Jackson; maternal grandparents, Keith and Cheryl Martens; paternal grandparents Cary and Stacie Jackson; great-grandmothers Shirley Jones and Pat Burch; great-grandfather Jim Leitzke; great-grandparents Richard and Miki Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, James R. Jones and OP Burch; and great-grandmother Judith Leitzke.
Cohen was a cherished part of our family's journey, and his memory will remain in our hearts always.
A private service will be held at New Post Church. Interment will follow in The Mount Cemetery.
