Coletta Fern Meyer, beloved daughter, mother, granddaughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 36, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Peace Lutheran Church, 745 County St, Ridgeway, IA 52165 with Rev. Nathan Wicks presiding. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Minnesota.
Visitation will be at Peace Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Coletta was born on August 25, 1988, in Rochester, MN, to Albert Leo Meyer and Jacqueline Jean Larkin Meyer, Coletta lived a life marked by creativity, resilience, and love.
Coletta spent her early years in Pleasant Grove, MN, until the untimely passing of her father in 1997. Following this loss, her family relocated to Decorah, IA, where she attended school and earned her GED. Driven by her passion for beauty and style, Coletta pursued her beautician license at Total Looks in Cresco, IA. She later honed her craft in Minneapolis, where her commitment to excellence and perfection shone through in her work with clients and her own personal style.
Returning to the Decorah area, Coletta built both a family and a thriving business. Her impeccable sense of fashion and artistry left an indelible mark on everyone she worked with. Her love for plants inspired her to establish Fernacopia, a venture that reflected her talent for nurturing life and beauty.
Diagnosed with cancer two years ago, Coletta faced her illness with remarkable strength and determination. She endured surgeries and treatments with unwavering courage, fighting valiantly until the end.
Coletta is survived by her cherished children: Adelina, Leo, and Judelyn; her loving mother: Jackie (Steve Lapham) Larkin; her devoted sisters: Daniela (Jason) Jones, Cyrilla (Chad Lechtenberg) Meyer, and Tashina Meyer; and her brother: Nick (Kirsten) Culver. She also leaves behind her nephew: Jay Erickson; nieces: Cora Lechtenberg and Evelyn Culver; grandparents: Cyril & Shirley Larkin; great-uncle: Emmett Larkin; aunts and uncles: Tom & Judy Kemp, Lester & Lorna Meyer, Allen Meyer, Beth Meyer, Jeremy Meyer; as well as numerous cousins and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her father: Albert Leo Meyer; grandparents: Lester & Fern Meyer; and great-grandmother: Leona Gruber.
Pallbearers for Coletta's service will be Joe Slawson, Ian Kemp, Max Kemp, Brandon Meyer, Cody Meyer, and Luke Meyer. Honorary pallbearers will include Jyll Kjome, Julie Jefferson, Brandy Boczkowski, and Heather Krause.
Coletta will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, artistic talents, love of family, and the beauty she brought into the world through both her work and presence. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
