Colin was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on April 2, 2002 and attended the special needs programs of Franklin elementary schools until transferring to the residential program at Amego, Inc. for children with autism in March 2016. The wonderful, compassionate teachers, nurses and staff at Amego encouraged Colin's incredibly curious nature and supported his intellectual developmental needs. In April 2024, Colin graduated from the Amego children's program and smoothly transitioned to their residential adult services and day program.
Colin especially loved his family, children's movies, internet shopping, restaurants and holidays. Colin's ability to cuddle and snuggle was unmatched; his warm, friendly presence and infectious laugh could cheer up even the saddest day. Colin steadily accumulated the largest holiday decoration collection imaginable – both indoor and outdoor – through frequent trips to retail and craft stores and relentless searches on Amazon and eBay websites. Colin also enjoyed going to the lake house, boat rides, fireplaces, mini-golf, bowling, arcades, stuffed animals ("bunny" and "poof" went everywhere with him), space toys, pasta, and ice cream. Colin eagerly anticipated the presents, festivities, food and treats associated with his birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Colin courageously and bravely faced a myriad of health and physical developmental issues throughout his entire life. Colin was frequently hospitalized for pneumonia, sepsis and other infections while also valiantly enduring splenomegaly, liver disease, painful kyphosis, osteomyelitis, diabetes, edema and aplastic anemia. Colin relied on the medical professionals at Franklin Pediatrics, Boston Children's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital for their expertise and caring support.
Colin is survived by his parents, Richard and Sharon (Pellerin) Miller, and brother, Joshua. Colin was adored by eight aunts and uncles: Robin Miller, Keith Miller, Marianne Knops (husband Scott), Matthew Miller (wife Lisa), Michelle White (husband Eric), Eileen Cilento (husband Matthew), Thomas Pellerin (wife Rita) and John Pellerin (wife Christina) and loved by seventeen cousins: Madeline Behnke, Connor McCannon, Alyse Miller, Tierney Miller, Cassidy Knops, Elena Knops, Dayne Miller, Sean Knops, Oliver Miller, Tucker Miller, Kimberly Cilento, Andrew Cilento, Christopher Pellerin, Jonathan Pellerin, Marissa Pellerin, Jocelyn White and Caitlyn Pellerin. Colin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Russell Miller, Delores Miller, John Pellerin and Agnes Pellerin.
Visitation will be held at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin on Friday, August 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Colin's funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, One Church Square, Franklin, on Saturday, August 23, at 10:00 AM. Those attending are kindly asked to proceed directly to the church. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Following the burial, all are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life at the Kraft Group building, adjacent to Gillette Stadium, One Patriot Place, Foxboro, beginning at 12:00 PM.

My very first day at Amego I met Collin and he left such a lasting impact on me. I instantly adored him and looked forward to any time I was able to spend with him. I have some many wonderful memories working with him and although I haven´t worked with him in multiple years I still think of him regularly. I will never forget him!

When I was asked if I wanted to speak at Colin´s graduation last year, I spent months working on what I wanted to say that could possibly emulate how proud & honored I was to be a part of his life over the past few years. I ultimately decided I would be too emotional to speak, so I never ended up giving a speech. That sounds really stupid to me now. I was going through my notes the other day after we said goodbye at the hospital & I found what I wrote for his graduation, which feels right to share here. "Colin, I will never be able to tell you how proud l am of you, or how much our journey together has meant to me. l could talk for hours about the incomprehensible strength that you embody, the courage you don't even know you have, & your ability to turn most difficult situations into memories I hold close to my heart. I came to Amego looking for a new experience in a different field of nursing & I ended up gaining so much more than that... you. Wherever life takes us, know I will always be here rooting for you, and being your biggest cheerleader, as always. Working with you over the last few years has not only been a pleasure, but the absolute honor of a lifetime. Everything I have watched you accomplish, overcome & tackle without fear has not only been an inspiration, but it has & will continue to shape me into the nurse & person I am. You have the most special ability to add love, light & magic to everyone's life that you enter, without even trying, and I will be eternally grateful for the love, light & magic you have added to mine. You have taught & given us way more than we could ever teach or give you. Especially how small our "big" problems really are. Not a day will go by that we don't miss your presence here. Including, but not limited to, your random bursts of laughter, your countdown to Little Einstein´s, your goofy "TEEF" smile, your Amazon search history, your snuggles, hugs, & naps on my lap, your pause before every double door frame, and especially your enthusiastic & excited "HIIIIIII NUUUURRRRSEEEEE" when I walk through the door every day. Congratulations buddy, I love you!!!"

If only you knew how much you´ve taught me. When I first met you,I had no idea just how much you'd shape my heart. Even then, you were already teaching me patience in ways no one else ever could. As the years went on, you showed me what true strength looks like without ever saying a word. You just were strong, every single day. In the 9 years we had together, we figured out so much like what things are really worth worrying about, and what things we just let go of. You reminded me to slow down, to take each day as it comes, and how important it is to just be with the people you love. And snuggles... You were the master of snuggles. I´m going to miss your silly yells so much. I´ll miss the egg hunts, hanging out with you and your family, going bowling, mini golfing, laughing at Olive Garden, and of course, the legendary Target trips for your bag of egg noodles and maybe a DVD.
You gave me more than you´ll ever know, and I´m carrying all of that and you with me, always.
