Colleen M. Bell, 93, of Colby, formerly Lindsey, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Colonial Health Services in Colby. Born on December 13, 1931 in Marshfield to Christ and Evelyn (Hanson) Kind, she was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High. Colleen was united in marriage to Raymond A. Bell on June 10, 1950. She was employed as a sales manager at JC Penney in Marshfield before she and Raymond purchased Bell's General Store in Lindsey, which she owned and operated until retiring at the age of 87.
Colleen enjoyed the outdoors with Raymond camping, traveling or spending time at the cabin up north in Phillips. She loved to read and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. She had been working since she was very young and loved meeting with all the people that would stop at Bell's General Store for supplies, have a cup of coffee or just sit and visit.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville.
Those who will cherish her memory are her children, Karolyn Geldernick of Chaseburg, Julaine (Michael) Immerfall and Michael (Jeannie) Bell, both of Marshfield; her eight grandchildren, Tarra (Brian) Berres, Dawn (Ryan) Gilhausen, Scott (Teri Heinzen) Geldernick and her children Drake and Kash, Corey (Alyssa) Geldernick, Curt Immerfall, Katie (Michael) Immerfall-Strasburg, Christopher (Jessica) Bell, and Matthew (Megan) Bell; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie (Jake), Connor, Jeffrey, Kyle, Carter, Kylie, Wilder, Wells, Logan, Elijah, Allie, and Marcus along with many other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents, Christ and Evelyn Kind; her husband, Raymond Bell in 2018; her son-in-law, Richard Geldernick, a sister, Marlene Mills and eight brothers and sisters-in-law. She is further preceded in death by her beloved, canine cocker spaniel, "Snoopy."
Memorial Services will be held in honor of Colleen at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Marshfield with Pastor Tim Hinrichs officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Wednesday for a time of visitation from 10 AM until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Colleen's name can be directed to: Grace Lutheran Church or Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS).
Our family would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Colonial Nursing Home in Colby for the care provided to our mom as well as to Pastor Tim Hinrichs for all his visits that she so appreciated.
