Colleen Kelly Christensen, age 24, passed away in Elgin, Illinois on July 6th, 2022.
She was born on December 5th, 1997 to Birger N rlund Christensen and Kerri Ann Kelly.
Colleen attended Central High School in Burlington, IL and DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She also completed Tricoci University of Beauty Culture s Esthetician program in Chicago. Colleen will be remembered for her fun creative humor and genuine care for others. On stage with the Children s Theater of Elgin, she dazzled you with her soulful voice and backstage with her excellent piano playing while others sang along. She was a key team member on the Elgin YMCA swim team. Colleen will always be with us as a loving daughter, friend and family member.
Colleen is survived by her parents; Birger (Cheryl) Christensen, Kerri (Garrison) Kelly of Elgin, IL. Siblings; Anton (Sarah) Christensen of Champaign, IL, Eleanor Kissel of Elgin, IL. Step siblings; David (Jennifer) Hartwell of Elgin IL, Daniel Hartwell of McKinney, TX. Step grandparents; Peter (Gale) Lind of Cherokee Village, AR. Step niece; Adalynn Hartwell of Elgin, IL. Prior Step siblings; Gloria, Sonya and Kaelyn Mack. Boyfriend; Christopher Hernandez. Numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews of Minnesota and Denmark.
Colleen was preceded in death by her Grandparents; Peter and Shirley Kelly of St. Croix, Minnesota, J rgen and Hanne N rlund Christensen of Hornslet, Denmark.
Visitation will start at 10 A.M. July 14th, 2022, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12 P.M., at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main St. St. Charles, IL with Jeorge Holmes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, Geneva, IL or American Brain Tumor Association [email protected].
