Terrance Adam "Terry" Madura, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 8, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to Adam and Helen Madura. He was a graduate of De La Salle High School and DePaul University. From 1967 to 1969, he honorably served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. On June 27, 1970, he married Kathleen, the love of his life, with whom he shared more than five decades of marriage. Terry was a longtime resident of Downers Grove, Illinois, before retiring to Naples, Florida in 1997. He was the proud father of Allison (Steven Council) and Audra (Christopher Addeo), and beloved grandfather to Jacob, Abigail, Madison, Adam, Kyle, and Dante. He also leaves behind his great-grandson, Dominic John, as well as his brother, Arthur, and sister, Adrienne. He enjoyed golf, sport shooting, and restoring classic Corvettes, especially his prized 1963 Corvette Roadster. He had a distinguished career as Executive Vice President with Northern Trust Bank in Chicago. He was a parishioner at St. Agnes Catholic Church and a member of the St. Agnes Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly 3094. Terry was also a proud member of the VFW Post 7721 and the American Legion. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong character, and his many passions. His legacy of honor, devotion, and love will continue to guide his family and all who were blessed to know him. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. S. Bonita Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday , September 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Additional services and burial will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Memorial donations in Terry's name may be made to Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida, on behalf of his grandson, Dante Madura-Addeo.
