Frances Colleen (Carleton) Frierson, age 94, of North Little Rock, AR, died on September 30, 2025.  She was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 2, 1930 and was the daughter of Frank and Mildred Carleton, who pre-deceased her.  Also a brother, James David Carleton pre-deceased her.

She attended schools in Little Rock and Portsmouth, VA.; graduating from Little Rock Sr. High in 1948.  She also attended Central Baptist College and UCA where she received a BSE degree in elementary education.  After 31 years of teaching she retired in 1985 from Sylvan Hills Elem. school.  She then did volunteer work for the Salvation Army and Lamans Library.

She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist church since 1970 and prior to that, Calvary Baptist in Little Rock. 

Preceding her in death , other than parents and brother are step-father, Ernest Jones, step-mother Mildred F. Carleton, half-sister, Jeanette Green, husbands: Wesley F. Milburn, Philip Raines and Doyle Frierson.  Two sons; Kenneth S. Raines and Ross D. "Rusty" Raines also pre-deceased her.  A son, Steve Milburn (Kanda) survive her.  Also six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Baring Cross Baptist Church in North Little Rock or to your favorite charity.

Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2025, from 3pm-5pm at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home at 1921 Main St, NLR, AR, 72114.  Funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 12:00pm at Baring Cross Baptist Church located at 3501 Baring Cross Rd, Sherwood, AR, 72120.  Burial will be a private family event.
