Gloria (Dodie) Nails, age 90, loving mother & adoring wife to her husband Richard Nails passed away on November 24th, 2025. Gloria was born November 4th, 1935 to George & Lorraine Broyles of St. Louis, Missouri.
Gloria is preceded in death by her father George & mother Lorraine, step father Ed Hable, one brother Buddy Hable & one sister Edna Johnson, 3 sons Robert (Bob) Broyles, Alan Zajac, Richard (Richie) Nails & 1 daughter Yvonne Zajac, 2 grandsons Jacob Broyles, Baby David Zajac & 1 great-grandson Gavin Broyles.
Gloria is survived by her husband Richard Nails, 4 sisters Marilyn LaMear, Maureen McCallister, Kathleen Chandler & Laverne Wedenstrome and brothers David Hable and John Hable, 2 sons David Zajac & his wife Roberta, Danny Zajac, 3 daughters Debbie Brakebill & her husband David, Alane Garlisi, Ruth Smith & 1 bonus son Barton Smith, 15 grandchildren, Robert, Brittney, Candace Jo, Belinda, Jason, Misty, Diana, Israel, Jeremy, Anthony, Tyler, Bobbie Katelynn, Jared, Zachary, Dylan, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild & a host of nieces and nephews.
In loving memory of Gloria, a vibrant soul who lit up every room she entered. Known for her warmth and laughter, she never met a stranger and loved to share her life stories with anyone willing to listen. A passionate cook, Gloria found joy in sharing her culinary delights with friends and family. Over the last few years, she faced health challenges with fierce determination and strength. Her spirit and love will forever remain in our hearts. Until we meet again, Mama.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, AR. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot.
