Colleen Clara Glossup, 95
Colleen Clara Glossup died April 1, 2024. She was born July 9, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. A resident of Okeechobee for six years, she enjoyed astronomy, reading, educational T.V., puzzles and her animals. She has inspired all of us with her hospitality, care and concern for her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herb Canty; her mother, Opal Canty; and her brother, Herb Canty, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Joe Glossup; children, Deborah Ayala (Pedro, Sr.); Benita Richardson, Delana Michener, David Glossup, and Audrey Kubic; grandchildren, Crystal Donahue, Nalio Ayala, Pedro Ayala, Jr., Rico Ayala, Heather Cowart, Bryon Guenther, Holly Elliott, Kayla Anders, Jessie Clark, Isaac Michener, Adam Michener, and Joseph Michener; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Jack Canty; seven nephews and nieces; and many great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
